The Homekeep Series gently teaches how to have a happy home and is  designed to extend the learning of lessons included in A Mother's Companion: for a Happy Home. Both work well together.

Before we start, I want you to quickly set-up a homekeeping system that works and is doable with our peaceful homeschool schedule.

The Homekeeping Calendar

My homekeeping calendar includes 5 simple tasks to do each day with a place to put a checkmark. 

1. Make bed
2. Do dishes (don't forget to wipe counters)
3. Check floors (clean as necessary)
4. Tidy & Trash
5. Weekly Chore (Rotational - Meal plan, Desk work, Wave clean, Laundry, Catch-all (any obvious tasks that needs done).
6. Monthly task, clean one room of choice, is at the bottom.

That's it! While this simple system that I teach in Total Home Makeover, is quicker, it doesn't include all the "extras" of the vintage schedule. It's great for busy days, however. Compare, use one or both.
