Start a Chapter & Listing Form
To start a group, please fill out the free listing form below, plus read the group guidelines. Each group is assigned a chapter number.
group guidelines
It is simple to start a group in your home. Simply list your group, order your teacher guide(s), and invite fellow homeschool moms to study along with you in at least 1 program of study. Meet once per week around your table and you act as the teacher with a volunteer teacher's assistant. The other moms can meet in the living room for tea, prayer, and book study. The meeting is adjourned when class is over and happy goodbyes are said. To keep it orderly, please abide by the following guidelines. Chapter Rules:
Groups will receive 1 free copy of the Parent's Review by mail to be circulated among members.
A group of homeschool moms with their children meet in your home 1-day per week (try 9 AM, Mondays or time of choice).
Each class lasts no longer than 1 hour.
A class is taught by you* around the table in at least 1 program of study from OFE.org: Program 1, Program 2, or/and Program 3.
There is no fee to list your group; however teacher guide(s) for your program(s) must be purchased prior to listing.
Groups that teach all three programs are listed as a cottage school rather than a group.
Each listing is assigned a Chapter number.
You only need a kitchen table and chair for each student.
Classes are limited to 10 students. A teacher (group leader) and assistant (mom) will be at table at all times.
A prayer meeting or/and book study is organized and run by the remaining moms who stay at the leader's home.
Classes at groups are free. A small annual fee may be collected to cover costs as determined by individual chapters.
A cottage school may offer free classes or charge a small monthly fee - no more than $40 per month for tuition - to pay the teacher for her time and help cover supply costs.
