As I continue my mother's series, I felt a need for a daily lesson plan for mothers. With just 3 things per day to focus on, a mother can get in time for: mother culture, physical exercise, beauty, etiquette, habit study for home, and more. Let's take a look! The Mother SeriesThis is the third article in our Mother Series. In this series, I will be sharing articles on planning so you can have a balanced and peaceful day. You can access all three articles here: A Mother's Companion for a Happy HomeI love having my Charlotte Mason-inspired homeschool lesson plans written out and on my lap. It's my plan, my roadmap. Not all homeschool days are perfect. There are challenges. And when I am ... "in medias res" (Latin for "in the middle of things") that plan keeps me on track. It helps me avoid distraction. "I wish I had my own lesson plan for a mother," I thought one day. I wanted a handbook that I could hold with a mother's plan in daily lesson format. This would remind me to get the important things done that sometimes get lost. Things like mother culture, exercise, habit training for myself and my home, beauty, and those sorts of things. So, I began to plan and write A Mother's Companion for a Happy Home, Volume 1. This handbook provides a full school year of 60-minute lessons (4-days per week) just for mothers. Each lesson gives you three do-able tasks. A wide array of "subjects" are spread throughout the week (see below). Each term, you will receive:
Built-into this handbook, is habit training for mothers. Through the 22 years of motherhood (my babies are 22, 19, 5, and 1), I have found that a neat home has a lot less to do with a schedule or a perfect plan, and more to do with building a good home habit. So, this book incorporates building good habits that bring order, just one at a time. I truly hope it will bless you as it is blessing me! The Feast of Subjects Included in Volume 1.
QuestionsWhen should i complete the tasks?
You might try early morning (before the children arise) or mornings (during independent seatwork) or afternoons (when children are reading or playing).
Can I see a free sample?
Yes! See the free sample download here.
when can i begin?
You can begin right away or you can wait and follow the lesson sequence for next school year. If you want to begin right away, you could just skip checking off the boxes and still use it for next year.
I hope you will join us for next school year as we will be doing volume 1 together. Details on how to get volume 1 for FREE are here.
